At Labuta Laureada, we believe that the best gatherings happen when people have the time and space to properly connect — with each other, with their surroundings and with whatever brought them together in the first place.
Set amongst the hills of the Serra da Estrela, our rural space offers a very different setting for retreats, workshops, creative residencies, celebrations and small events. Here, the landscape becomes part of the experience: open skies, mountains, animals, natural spaces and the slower rhythm of rural life provide a backdrop far removed from the usual event environment.
Creative Residencies
Our residential music production workshops bring musicians and producers together for focused periods of creativity, learning and collaboration. Away from everyday distractions, participants have the opportunity to work on their music, exchange ideas, learn new techniques and spend time with other creative people.
We are also open to welcoming artists, makers and creative practitioners whose work connects with the spirit of Labuta Laureada.
Rural & Wellbeing Retreats
The land and animals offer a natural environment for slowing down and reconnecting. We are developing retreats centred around horses, equicoaching, nature, creativity, mindfulness and rural living, with experiences designed to encourage reflection, learning and genuine connection.
Rather than following a rigid programme, our retreats allow space for both structured activities and simply being here — walking, talking, making, resting, exploring and enjoying the landscape.
Workshops & Courses
We welcome opportunities to share knowledge and practical skills. From equicoaching and animal-based experiences to creative workshops, sustainable crafts and electronic music production, our courses are designed around hands-on learning and real experience.
Some are structured programmes; others are developed collaboratively with the people who come to us.
Private Gatherings & Events
We can also offer the space for small private gatherings, celebrations, community events and creative projects, where the atmosphere of the place becomes part of the occasion.
We are particularly interested in events that align with our values — bringing people together, supporting creativity, celebrating nature, encouraging sustainable practices or contributing something positive to the wider community.
A Place to Make Memories
There is something about gathering in the countryside that changes the pace of things.
Meals last a little longer. Conversations wander. People spend more time outside. Ideas have room to develop. And sometimes the most memorable part of an event is the thing nobody planned.
